The Many Shades of Green Fashion

Unfortunately to many in the fashion industry, green is a color that we try to describe creatively. Moss, mint, chartreuse, hunter, forest, lime, olive, spring leaf … so many options to describe what is no more than a color that goes in and out of style just like hemlines, clothes volume and purse size.
But to an ever-increasing group of dedicated people, creating green fashion (or fashion created with ecologically sound materials and practices) is a passion. There are a group of designers, models and shoe mavens who are blazing new ground and driving development of new materials that have not been a part of the standard pallet available to the designers and consumers alike.
Fortunately for the fashion-minded, now is the best time to commit to dressing green. The “hippy” idea of scratchy hemp cloths and Birkenstocks is history. The era of smart and lovely clothes, bags, shoes, skin care and makeup products is upon us and green is everywhere. Our blog will focus on the who, what, where and why of green fashion- who’s creating it, what are the green components, where can you find it- and why you should care.
